K2E is a Chrome app that will automatically upload your Kindle Notes and highlights to Evernote. It costs $1 a month. I like the idea, though, so I am hoping someone will take it over and get it running again. This is a bookmarklet-based tool that is designed to take your my clippings text file and spit out an EML file you can import into Evernote. To be honest, I don’t find either tool very useful they grab the whole page rather than the key parts. Microsoft’s note-taking app has a tool where you can clip a webpage and import it into a notebook. That older post focused heavily on Amazon tools like the email export features in the Kindle apps for iOS and Android (which are now available on the Kindle and Kindle Fire). This post covers just non-Amazon tools you can use to manage your Kindle clippings. Much has changed in the past couple years since this post was first published Amazon has added new features to the Kindle platform and some of the tools I found then are no longer supported by their developers (in fact, one or two tools in this post were simply abandoned and had their domains snapped up by gay porn sites). I recently updated my four-year-old post on Kindle annotation tools, and I realized it was time to do this post as well. If something goes horribly wrong and you need a fresh start then there are a couple of PC-based utilities to help out (WDRT - see the patch, plus OTC Updater*), though they rely on the original phone 'images' being still available on Microsoft's servers. I'd suggest that lack of support also means that people at Microsoft won't be testing services against Windows 10 Mobile any more, but we all know that they haven't been doing this for some time, sadly. Theoretically, the OS is now 'vulnerable', though in practice Windows 10 Mobile is now battle hardened and also an utterly miniscule target for attackers, so the lack of updates won't actually be an issue. The last update was in January 2020 - and was for the newest 1709 branch. Note that some dates are approximate, since we can't see into the future with certainty! I've colour coded table cells, with pale red for 'on the way out, with workarounds and caveats', through increasingly dark shades, and red for 'no hope!'. Which means that it's hard to keep track of it all - hence the table below, which I'll keep updated every month. However, the app is ad-supported for users without a Microsoft 365 subscription, and the new web-based Outlook for Windows should use the same business model.Post the final OS update by a full two years we're in a declining phase of the OS, where most of the stuff that ever worked properly still works, but things are definitely now falling off the edges, as it were. Last week, Microsoft also announced that it was making Outlook for Mac free to use on macOS. However, if you really like the ability to create unified inboxes in the UWP Mail app, the new web-based Outlook doesn’t have that feature yet. These two apps haven’t been updated in ages, so this new Outlook for Windows should be quite an upgrade. The new web-based Outlook for Windows is set to replace the UWP-based Mail and Calendar apps on Windows 10 and Windows 11 at some point. While the UI is nothing to complain about, Outlook power users who require specific add-ins will likely stick with what Microsoft now calls the “classic Outlook for Windows.” Microsoft’s new Outlook app for Windows looks a lot like Outlook on the web, though it supports multiple accounts (again, only personal MSA accounts or work or school accounts at the moment). IT pros will also be able to hide the toggle by using a registry key. We will give notice before any required changes occur, after the preview has received sufficient usage and feedback,” Microsoft explained on the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. “The experience is an option to try, and nothing will change without end users taking action. The toggle to try the new web-based Outlook app will only appear for Outlook users using accounts by the new app, which are currently quite limited: The new Outlook client only supports Microsoft Exchange Online and personal Microsoft accounts, though Microsoft is planning to add support for more accounts “within the next month.” The new app is currently available via a toggle on the Office Insiders Beta and Preview channels, but the same toggle will become available on the Current Channel in early April. Microsoft is getting ready to make its new web-based Outlook for Windows app available for all users. 5/17/2023 0 Comments Fruitjuice gummy worms
5/17/2023 0 Comments Eliza minnickShe first appeared on Grey’s Anatomy on the Why Try to Change Me Now episode on. However, it may be too little too late for the Grey’s Anatomy fans. In 2006 she starred as Lola in Heist, and started a recurring role as Tyler Altamirano on Brothers & Sisters. There are some attempts to make Minnick likeable, as she is now a love interest for Arizona. Webber stood up as the teacher he has always been. Rather than help Stephanie and be a teacher, she ran off because it was her first child death. Minnick refused to allow Arizona to teach in the OR – just observe. Minnick had pushed Edwards to do the start-to-finish surgery, despite Arizona making it clear that nobody but a peds doctor had the rights to operate at that time. She lost all respect from fans when she ran away from Edwards after the death of a child in the OR. They also disliked the way that Webber was being pushed out, a character who has been loved from the very beginning. She made it clear that she wouldn’t work with someone and would only be his boss.įans instantly disliked her cocky and arrogant attitude and need to change everything about the way the residents were taught. Eliza Minnick was introduced as the doctor who would oust Webber from his role as Residency Director. Last Episode: Season 13, Episode 24, “Ring of Fire”Ĭrimes Against the Fans: Dr. Eliza Minnickįirst Episode: Season 13, Episode 7, “Why Try to Change Me Now?” This is such an annoying, unrealistic plot that ignores every other thing that happened in the previous seasons. Most Hated Grey’s Anatomy Characters – #2. Her whole approach towards her students used to be like "I'm tough, I'll give you a hard time, but I want you to learn". All the attendings have something to say and she just ignores it? She was the one who always got ignored! I can't believe Bailey, Miranda Bailey, would really be treating people like she got treated. You can do your job without treating people like you're better than them.Īnd it's SO not like Bailey to just let someone do what they want when she's the boss. I don't know if that's an American thing, but this kind of arrogance can get you fired lol. It is therefore a risky bet to persevere with this character. If she had years of experience I would understand, but it just doesn't seem right.Īlso her way of barging in everywhere. However, the young woman is not really appreciated by the fans, nor by the doctors of the Gray-Sloan Memorial Hospital. Somewhere along the line the writers forgot Webber's accomplishments and now justifications for Eliza Minnick's presence come out of anywhere they can think of - like, seriously? "I never lost a kid"? Was that supposed to make me feel bad for her? It just proves the point that she barely has experience enough to be teaching every attending in every department. This whole storyline where they try to blame Richard, talking about "common factors", is a reach for a plot that will shake the whole series. There are also a lot of other examples, like Bailey's stories from when she was a resident, that prove that Webber's program works.īack when Meredith's gang didn't know how to be attendings, he was the one correcting them. That happened during their internship too. When Alex, Meredith and Christina were residents there was often competition between them - that was under Webber. Looking through old comments on here from when this episode aired, I get that people are always inclined to be neutral and see the other side of characters when everyone hates them, but at some point it's not realistic anymore. 5/16/2023 0 Comments Voxox app reviewWant to try it now,you can sign up for free here. And as families scrambled to find care on a few days’ notice for children they thought would be in school, most were overwhelmed. Even if they could afford a lawyer, there is just one with the requisite expertise taking cases in Minnesota. Lodging complaints, particularly grievances alleging systemic violations, requires resources most don’t have. “We believe there is nothing appropriate about using a mechanism to deliver services that already failed our children once before, and there is nothing free about delivery models that require parents and caregivers to provide the services that are supposed to be provided by paid professionals.”ĭisability advocates say the parents are right - but are also likely stuck. “The Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act entitles our children to a Free and Appropriate Public Education,” they added. “Letters like the one families received from the district are indicative of the reason trust between students, families and the district is at an all-time low and the reason many families are choosing to leave the district.” “In the few hours since we received this letter, we have already been able to brainstorm better alternatives to what was proposed,” wrote a number of parents and advocates, including two groups representing the autism community. The letter also charged that the decision discriminated against a category of students who require the most support - overwhelmingly children of color - and blasted school leaders for rejecting options suggested by the families. |
