5/17/2023 0 Comments Eliza minnick![]() ![]() She first appeared on Grey’s Anatomy on the Why Try to Change Me Now episode on. However, it may be too little too late for the Grey’s Anatomy fans. In 2006 she starred as Lola in Heist, and started a recurring role as Tyler Altamirano on Brothers & Sisters. There are some attempts to make Minnick likeable, as she is now a love interest for Arizona. Webber stood up as the teacher he has always been. Rather than help Stephanie and be a teacher, she ran off because it was her first child death. Minnick refused to allow Arizona to teach in the OR – just observe. ![]() Minnick had pushed Edwards to do the start-to-finish surgery, despite Arizona making it clear that nobody but a peds doctor had the rights to operate at that time. She lost all respect from fans when she ran away from Edwards after the death of a child in the OR. They also disliked the way that Webber was being pushed out, a character who has been loved from the very beginning. She made it clear that she wouldn’t work with someone and would only be his boss.įans instantly disliked her cocky and arrogant attitude and need to change everything about the way the residents were taught. Eliza Minnick was introduced as the doctor who would oust Webber from his role as Residency Director. Last Episode: Season 13, Episode 24, “Ring of Fire”Ĭrimes Against the Fans: Dr. Eliza Minnickįirst Episode: Season 13, Episode 7, “Why Try to Change Me Now?” ![]() This is such an annoying, unrealistic plot that ignores every other thing that happened in the previous seasons. Most Hated Grey’s Anatomy Characters – #2. Her whole approach towards her students used to be like "I'm tough, I'll give you a hard time, but I want you to learn". All the attendings have something to say and she just ignores it? She was the one who always got ignored! I can't believe Bailey, Miranda Bailey, would really be treating people like she got treated. You can do your job without treating people like you're better than them.Īnd it's SO not like Bailey to just let someone do what they want when she's the boss. I don't know if that's an American thing, but this kind of arrogance can get you fired lol. It is therefore a risky bet to persevere with this character. If she had years of experience I would understand, but it just doesn't seem right.Īlso her way of barging in everywhere. However, the young woman is not really appreciated by the fans, nor by the doctors of the Gray-Sloan Memorial Hospital. Somewhere along the line the writers forgot Webber's accomplishments and now justifications for Eliza Minnick's presence come out of anywhere they can think of - like, seriously? "I never lost a kid"? Was that supposed to make me feel bad for her? It just proves the point that she barely has experience enough to be teaching every attending in every department. This whole storyline where they try to blame Richard, talking about "common factors", is a reach for a plot that will shake the whole series. There are also a lot of other examples, like Bailey's stories from when she was a resident, that prove that Webber's program works.īack when Meredith's gang didn't know how to be attendings, he was the one correcting them. That happened during their internship too. When Alex, Meredith and Christina were residents there was often competition between them - that was under Webber. Looking through old comments on here from when this episode aired, I get that people are always inclined to be neutral and see the other side of characters when everyone hates them, but at some point it's not realistic anymore.
